Judging by what I see in Law and Order SVU, fighting against sex crimes is a very violent, and competitive job. I believe only the best and the physically and mentally strongest men and women will have a chance, even though combat doesen't occur all the time.

I dont neccesarily think its a violent and competetive job.. your source is a tv show... and thats not a great source...its just a tv show to entertain. i do think though that it is a noble job. and its a job that is needed filled in this sick world. i do agree as well that only the mentally strong can do this.. or else they may go crazy having to deal with some of the stuff they have to deal with..it can be vilent at times... but those shows really over exaggerate..
